Combustion of fossil fuels is the leading cause of global warming. It has to be reduced or even terminated for our planet to have a chance to heal. The good news is that this can be done. By deploying a mixture of hydro, solar, wind, bio, and geothermal power sources, potentially combined with utilizing nuclear power, we can end the use of fossil fuels. The great news is that it is not only possible, but economically beneficial as well. In this presentation, I will give cost estimates for this transition and will try to develop realistic estimates for return-on-investment time scales.
